About me
Hi! I am a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Applied Analysis at Max Planck Institute of Leipzig, under the supervision of László Székelyhidi.
I received my PhD in 2023 working with Prof. Stefano Bianchini at SISSA, in Trieste.
My research interests are quite varied. I enjoy working on problems that I find interesting, without any particular preference for a specific area. At the moment, I'm mainly working in Discrete Structures in Fluid Dynamics. This topic is based on a discrete interpretation of the motion of fluid particles in an incompressible fluid. Indeed, we can view the fluid motion as permutations of fluid boxes, bridging the continuous world with Discrete Mathematics problems. This gives the Sharp Shnirelman Inequality and could possibly be extended to wider settings (two-point boundary value problems, curvature computations and permutons).
I am also working on Bressan's conjecture on fire confinement problems, in collaboration with Stefano Bianchini (with some well-deserved breaks). The fire confinement problem is particularly adventurous and exciting. The main tools we use come from Geometric Measure Theory, Euclidean Geometry, and the study of solutions to certain Delay Differential Equations.
